In heavy industry, petrochemical units and large infrastructure sites, separating liquids into their phases is not merely filtration: it is the most critical safety barrier between the plant, its legal limits and an environmental disaster. For the zero-discharge targets demanded by everything from the toughest Scandinavian heavy-industry norms to global petrochemical standards, conventional reinforced concrete structures and GRP-based systems are no longer an option. We reject outright these older technologies, which develop hairline cracks or bleed resin over time on contact with aggressive chemicals and hydrocarbons.

In line with Yongrad's process engineering philosophy, every separation and wastewater treatment tank we build carries the absolute corrosion and mechanical resistance of high-density PP and HDPE thermoplastics. Designed on a zero-leakage, zero-defect principle, our systems become intelligent, autonomous, Industry 4.0-ready environmental protection reactors through our standing as a Labkotec Solutions Partner.

Below is the process vision behind the four system groups that autonomously manage the wastewater and hydrocarbon load of production lines and infrastructure sites:

Phase separation reactors that block the FOG load — fats, oils and grease — at source in food factories, large commercial kitchens and industrial sites producing organic waste. Fully compliant with EN 1825 and with hydrodynamic retention times optimised, they are built in underground, above-ground, bypass and high-temperature industrial configurations. Fats congealing in the pipework to cause blockages, and excessive COD/BOD load reaching the treatment works, are physically prevented by the strength of the HDPE/PP architecture.

Advanced separation shields designed to EN 858 that remove hydrocarbons, petroleum products and heavy machine oils from water so it can be discharged to nature or the municipal network with zero risk. At fuel terminals, substations and petrochemical lagoons we deliver absolute security — from coalescence-filter separators to industrial skimmers and PP lamella/plate (CPI/TPI) systems. Our systems bring oil in the discharge far below the international legal limit of 5 mg/l.

Process reactors designed with computational fluid dynamics that form the core of physical, chemical and biological treatment: compact lamella clarifiers that reject the bulk of classic circular basins; sedimentation units that hydraulically settle heavy suspended solids; flocculation reactors that neutralise electrokinetic charge; and DAF tanks that float emulsions on micro-bubbles. All of them shoulder the heaviest load of the process in thermoplastic shells that are fully resistant to chemical dosing shocks.

Every separation system we design is integrated with this ATEX-certified sensor ecosystem. From idOIL oil and grease alarms working on the difference in dielectric constant, to millimetre-accurate SET level probes, leak sensors that catch a spill within a second and LID-330 detectors that recognise ice by frequency — your entire site is connected to your SCADA network.
