Our Approach to Cookies
Our site uses no cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. It does use analytics cookies to produce visit statistics, and those cookies are placed automatically on every visit. No cookie is used for advertising or profiling. If you would rather not be measured, the “Turning Cookies Off” section below explains how to block them; blocking them does not affect your use of the site.
Google Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics 4 is used for visit statistics and the following cookies are placed:
- _ga — used to distinguish visitors from one another. Retention: 2 years.
- _ga_[id] — used to maintain session state. Retention: 2 years.
The data processed through these cookies — approximate location, device and browser information, pages visited, session duration — is used for statistics only and is processed by Google LLC under its own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). IP anonymisation is enabled.
Yandex Metrica Cookies
Yandex Metrica is used for visit statistics and site-usage analysis, and the following cookies are placed:
- _ym_uid — used to distinguish visitors from one another. Retention: 1 year.
- _ym_d — stores the date of the first visit. Retention: 1 year.
- _ym_isad — determines whether an ad blocker is in use. Retention: 2 days.
- _ym_visorc — used for session recording (Webvisor). Retention: 30 minutes.
Besides page views, Yandex Metrica records mouse movement, scrolling and clicks through its session recording (Webvisor) and click-map features. This data is processed by Yandex under its own privacy policy (https://yandex.com/legal/confidential/).
Local Storage (localStorage)
One entry that is not a cookie is stored on your device only and is never transmitted to us:
- yg-lang — your language preference.
Turning Cookies Off
If you do not want analytics cookies, you can block them in any of these ways:
- Block this site’s cookies in your browser settings.
- Install Google’s opt-out add-on for Google Analytics (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
- Use Yandex’s opt-out page for Yandex Metrica (https://yandex.com/support/metrica/general/opt-out.html).
Managing Cookies in Your Browser
