Advanced Packed Bed Technology
Yongrad’s scrubbers utilize a combination of co-current and counter-current gas scrubbing techniques within a packed bed system:

This innovative design maximizes contact time between the gas and the wetted packing media, equivalent to a 2.5-meter depth, ensuring efficient contaminant removal.

Efficient Scrubbing Process

1. Airflow Division: Contaminated air from the fume cupboard is split into two equal streams entering the scrubber’s outer sections.
2. Contaminant Removal: Air passes through a vane-type mist eliminator and then through wetted packing material where pollutants are absorbed.
3. Stream Convergence: The two air streams merge in the central chamber and flow upward through a central packed bed for additional scrubbing.
4. Clean Air Release: After passing through a droplet separator, the purified air exits the unit via the flanged outlet.

Constructed from corrosion-resistant plastics like polypropylene (PP) and PVC, our scrubbers are built to last. The scrubbing liquid is recirculated using a magnetically driven PP pump and PVC pipework system. An automatic fill valve and optional pH dosing system maintain optimal liquid levels and scrubbing efficiency.
